When you book with us, your peace of mind is part of the experience. That's why our yachts follow clear cleaning, disinfection, and preventive maintenance protocols so you can enjoy a flawless, comfortable, and safe outing with no surprises. We also apply operational checklists before and after every departure to maintain consistent standards, regardless of the destination or vessel type.
Deep cleaning before and after each rental #
Before boarding, the team carries out a thorough cleaning of the cabin, deck and communal areas. At the end of each trip, the process is repeated to prepare the yacht for the next service and maintain a hygienic, well-organized operation. This protocol includes ventilation, surface cleaning, bathroom sanitation and a general reorganization so that everything is “photo ready” and, above all, ready for your comfort.
Disinfection of high-contact areas #
In the yachts, there are high-contact areas that are disinfected with special attention. These include: handrails, handles, tables, seat backs, cup holders, railings, faucets, switches, controls, coolers, and areas near food. Extra care is also given to bathrooms (sink, toilet, handles, and support surfaces), since we know that's where a large part of the onboard cleanliness perception is formed.
Preventive maintenance and operational inspection #
Beyond just “looking good,” what truly matters is that the yacht performs perfectly. Before casting off, key elements are inspected: engine(s), fluid levels, batteries, electrical system, bilge pumps, communications and navigation equipment, lights, anchors, and lines. Safety gear is also checked (life jackets, fire extinguishers, first-aid kit, and signaling devices), and everything is logged in the ship's record to maintain oversight and catch any issue early.
Maritime safety compliance and standards #
Our focus is on operating with order and in alignment with industry best practices. If you'd like to review the regulatory reference standard for minimum safety and communications equipment, you can consult the Official Mexican Standard NOM-034-SEMAR-2024, Minimum safety, communication, and navigation equipment. This helps explain why prevention and regular check-ups are not an “extra,” but an essential part of responsible seamanship.
Best practices on board to keep the yacht in pristine condition #
To maintain the yachts in excellent condition throughout the trip, we recommend:
- Avoid glassware if the itinerary includes rough waters or high-energy activities.
- Notify the crew immediately if any drink or food is spilled.
- Follow crew instructions when accessing the cabin and wet areas.
- Avoid sunscreen and oils on the upholstery (we can suggest safer options for you).
If you have allergies, special needs, or want to confirm details about the protocol for the yacht of your choice, our team is available at Contact Yatezzitos México.
